German Shepherd Puppies Dumped In A Box And Hidden In A Local Park

Tia and Koda are not every-day German Shepherd puppies! The story of these siblings has a rough start considering the circumstances the two were found in.

The six-week-old GSD puppies were abandoned in a box and hidden in the bushes in the local park. The infant brother and sister were spotted curled up together by a random passenger who immediately took action!

When the man first saw Tia and Koda in the park, they were extremely afraid, cold, and they required urgent vet intervention.

He couldn’t leave them on their own in the park, as they would surely die without any help. That’s why he decided to bring them to the B.C. SPCA , where the puppies got their first treatment. After a while, both of these GSD babies were transferred to the SPCA’s Richmond facility.

Unfortunately, the puppies were quite neglected and unsocialized, but the biggest problem was the fact that Tia, the baby girl, had a series of health issues.

Tia Needs Help

Koda was found in much better condition than Tia. This baby girl had a serious injury on her front leg, but that wasn’t all! Aside from her injury, she was coping with an ongoing infection related to the injury, as well as gastrointestinal problems.

According to CTV News, the SPCA is currently seeking donations for Tia, as she needs serious medical care. Krista, the Richmond SPCA manager, says that the puppy’s treatment is estimated to cost $6500.

Fortunately, Petsecure will cover half of these costs, which will make the whole search for money a lot easier. Tia is still under examination, even though there’s already a family familiar with her situation and ready to adopt her.

Despite Tia’s ongoing health issues, both her and her brother are doing amazing socialization-wise.

They’ve already let down their guards and started interacting with the good people of the SPCA. After all the hardship, the two finally got the chance to feel what it is like to be a loved, nurtured puppy.

The sad news is that Tia and her brother, Koda, parted ways a few days afterward. He was adopted by his foster family who loves him very much! At that time, Tia couldn’t go to her foster home, as she was kept for further medical treatment.

Even though she’s still unable to travel to her furever home, her new owners are patiently counting the days until she feels better! They’re inclined to bring this beautiful baby girl to her furever home! And, she sure deserves it!
